We are poets, we use words
and images and, sometimes,
We use meters, and rhymes.
Yet, we always, appreciate
Our art, our gift, our noble,
Sacred word.
And we write what we feel,
What is good, what is beautiful,
What is right.
We write for ourselves,
For the people, and the sake of writing,
Not for fame, not for wealth.
We as poets are like mirrors,
We are sensitive,
Writing the truth beneath our hearts,
Our minds are constantly running,
Trying to seek for new adventures to share,
And embracing one another with our words,
We as poets, stand together as one
Overcoming any trail and tribulation
And remaining a big happy family.
We are poets, we have passion
For words and imagination.
Sometimes, like birds,
We fly in the sky,
And sometimes, we swim
Within the hearts and the souls.
We embrace the trees
In the hearts of the forests,
And we kiss, in affection,
The cheeks of the flowers
In the gardens and the parks.
We, always, look for
Simple beauty in life
And the truth of the universe.
We share one love, one heart, and one soul
And together, although in the distance,
We see the words of our fellow poets
Transforming into a beautiful song,
Creating…
The Song Of The Poets.
